With the purpose of generating an income that allows the self-sustainability of Proyectos Perú, the healthy products project has been developing for two years, an initiative that is mainly dedicated to the production of whole grain breads and granola. The objective is to gradually position the product in the region, promoting healthy eating and generating an income that allows the economic support of the missionary activities.
This initiative gained momentum this year, we have the objective of producing organic food without chemicals, at the same time that we supply the Base with basic food and teach the missionaries how to grow vegetables.
Together with institutions dedicated to health care, we carry out health care campaigns. In these "Health Fairs" we seek to promote healthy habits in the population and attend to their ailments thanks to the support of professionals with a solidary heart.
You can be part of our ministry with your solidarity contribution.
Due to the climate, we cannot set a fixed fermentation time for our dough. We would like to install a chamber that would allow us to control the temperature and the time our bread needs to ferment properly.
There is no bathroom installed near the bakery, so we have to walk to the other side of the base. In the jungle we do not have sewage service, so the facility includes not only the materials for construction, but also a 1,300L biodegradable tank.
Currently the milling of these grains is done in a home blender, as we grow we start to produce products on a larger scale so we would like to have a small industrial mill. This will allow us to grind our grains into a superior quality product as well as help provide the raw material for the production of our products.
The mission in the Peruvian jungle is very big, but thanks to God the support of many friends and brothers and sisters of the church have been a blessing. This year we want to share with you the needs we have as a ministry, your support, big or small, will be a great blessing. Thank you, a big hug!
